Advent Season “Touch and Agree” Prayer Conference Calls:  Join us Wednesdays at 12:00PM, beginning November 29th, during the Season of Advent (Sunday, November 26th Sunday, December 24th) for our weekly prayer conference call.  Dial in on 1-857-216-6700 using conference code 409734. Prayer requests submitted to prayerrequest@mtennon.org and received by Tuesdays will be included during the call.

Saturday, December 2nd – Celebrating Our Seniors – A Jazzy Christmas Afternoon:  All seniors 60 and older are invited to join us from 1:00PM to 3:00PM in the Fellowship Hall.  You will enjoy an afternoon of games, food, poetry and live jazz music.  The attire is holiday festive. Space is limited; register at the Member Services Station in the Narthex or online at mtennon.org.

 

A Gift of Love – Warm Hearts:  The Prison Ministry is sponsoring the Warm Hearts program which helps meet the needs of children of incarcerated parents.  Stop by one of the Warm Hearts Stations in the Narthex today to pick-up a heart which honors a child’s wish for toys or clothing, or to volunteer to wrap gifts. All gifts must be returned unwrapped by Sunday, December 3rd.

 

Friday, December 8th – Women’s Ministry Christmas Mission Fellowship:  Join us for our Hope for the Holidays—Ladies’ Night Out at 7:00PM.  All ladies 18 and older are invited out to enjoy a night of food, fun and live music as we come together to be a blessing to others.  You may support this effort by making a donation of new items from our wish list when you register at the Member Services Station in the Narthex or online at mtennon.org.  Come out and bring a friend!

 

Friday, December 8th –Men’s Friday Fellowship:  All men are invited out to Golden Corral in Waldorf, MD at 7:00PM for an evening of fellowship, fun and food.  The cost is $20 (includes buffet, beverage and tip); payment will be collected at the fellowship. Register at the Men’s Ministry Station in the Narthex or online at mtennon.org.

 

Saturday, December 9th – Parents’ Day Out:  The Children’s Ministry is inviting parents to drop off their children, ages 5 through 11, from 9:00AM – 2:30PM for a day of fun holiday festivities to include a paint party, cupcake decorating, DJ, game station, balloon artists and more. Registration is free, however, we are asking those who are able to help us be a blessing to patients at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC by bringing a new unwrapped toy.  Space is limited. For more information and to register, stop by the Parents’ Day Out Station in the Narthex after the 9:30AM and 11:45AM services.

Bereavement Notice:  It is with heartfelt sympathy that we report the passing of our member, Brother Leroy Dowdle. The Home Going Service will be held on Monday, November 27th. Our prayers go out to his family during their time of bereavement.
